Any musicians out there who want to learn how to put on a live show should definitely pick up Kelly Joe Phelps newest CD “Tap the Red Cane Whirlwind”. It is an amazing live CD where Phelps moves through both new and old material, extending 4 minutes songs into 9 minute jams. My favorite track would have to be “Not so Far to Go”, which sounded somewhat bland on his last album, but in the live setting it really comes to life.
